A little
about the Genki class instructor
Yuko
Warwick-Yamamoto: Qualified Exercise to Music (Aerobics)
Instructor
I
started Genkiaerodancing in 2006 having spent almost every single
day down the gym over the previous twenty years – and I really
do mean just about every day! I’m living walking proof of
the benefits of an aerobic lifestyle because many people assume
my age to be at least ten years lower than it really is.
Before
coming to England, I had a safe, secure job in the Tokyo fashion
industry but it didn’t give me the opportunity to get fit,
stay fit or burn off the stresses of living in a city three times
the size of London - so I took up aerobics with a real enthusiasm,
never imagining for a moment that one day I could become an instructor
in the activity I love on the other side of the world. Aerobics,
and in particular my own Genkiaerodancing style, has become my love
and my passion and as it keeps me healthy and happy I hope to continue
for many years yet.
Often
I tell my Genkiaerodancing members how proud I am that they manage
to find one hour of exercise in one day when I know how busy their
lives are. I tell them, Keep going, everyone! Think about ten years
from now, if you keep your mind and body healthy then you have a
much better chance of keeping the way you look and feel just now,
it's a really precious opportunity! I just want you to be GENKI
(fine!) all the time and feel good about yourself!
So let's keep on dancing, boxing, and toning!
